POR Board of Trustees Meetings
The POR Board’s meetings are regularly scheduled monthly at 2:00 PM on the third Monday of each month. January meetings are scheduled one day later to observe the Martin Luther King Day holiday. All meeting dates and times are subject to rescheduling due to holidays, Board Members’ availability, etc. Meeting agendas will be posted below as they are available, just before each meeting. Requested agenda items must be submitted to the POR Board Secretary no later than 4:30 PM on the Wednesday prior to each meeting, to be included on the following week's agenda.
Meetings are held at DPS Headquarters in the public conference room just off the main lobby, at the following address:

This is a detailed description about the rules and regulations of the Peace Officers' Retirement (POR) System. Complete with a section of most common questions and answers, the POR handbook is a must for a retired or soon to be retired officer. This handbook was revised in accordance with law changes of the 80th General Assembly, 2004 Session. Iowa Code Chapter 97A and Administrative Rules regulate the Peace Officers' Retirement, Accident and Disability System.
