Update: Decedent Identified-Jones County Structure Fire and Officer Involved Shooting Investigations

DES MOINES, Iowa – The individual shot by law enforcement during the late evening hours of August 31st has been identified as: 
Jeremy Michael Berg, (45 yrs old) of Elkport, Iowa.  

An autopsy has been scheduled with the Iowa Medical Examiner’s Office and is set for September 2, 2021.  No additional information will be released at this time.
