Course Description:

This 2-day course provides training on and resources for personnel who has a responsibility to function in a command post managing and expanding incident. Topics include use of an Incident Complex and Area Command, and the interactions between Multi-Agency Coordination (MAC) entities.

Course Prerequisites:

ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-300, IS-700, IS-800

Course Target Audience:

This course is designed for senior personnel who are expected to perform in a management capacity in the Area Command or Multi-Agency Coordination Entity.

Additional Information:

1) Participants can bring their own Wi-Fi capable devices. 2) This multi-day course is supported with Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) funding. You may request lodging reimbursement if you traveled an excess of 50 miles one-way and are an Iowa resident. Requests are based upon available funding. Before making lodging reservations and Prior to start of class, email your lodging reimbursement request to HSEMDTraining@iowa.gov limited to funding availability. 3) All other travel will be on your own if the above doesn't apply or requested.

This course provides training on and resources for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System. This course expands upon information covered in the ICS-100 and ICS-200 courses.

Course Prerequisites:

ICS-100, ICS-200, IS-700, IS-800

Course Target Audience:

This course is open to first responders, public works, jurisdictional executives, hospital leadership, non-profits, and anyone else that may be required to perform intermediate ICS duties.
