The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation's Gaming Bureau was created in 1989. The Bureau ensures public confidence and trust in Iowa's gaming industry. Now known as the Special Enforcement Operations Bureau, it is the primary criminal investigative and enforcement agency for the Iowa gaming industry. There are 57 Special Agents assigned to the Bureau. These agents have offices in each of the nineteen licensed casinos in the State of Iowa and are responsible for the following duties:
