Update: DCI Names Subject in Fort Madison Officer-Involved Shooting

DES MOINES, Iowa -- The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) is now able to identify the subject shot by a Fort Madison police officer during the late evening hours of December 10, 2019. That individual was Robert Allen Elfgen (age 42) of West Point, Iowa. Elfgen was shot while brandishing a firearm in Scotts, a local manufacturing company in Fort Madison, Iowa.  An autopsy has been scheduled at the Office of the Iowa State Medical Examiner on Friday, December 13, 2019.
