DPS Assisting In Jefferson Death Investigation

JEFFERSON, Iowa - On Monday, June 19, 2023, at approximately 5:16 a.m., the Greene County Communications Center received a report of a deceased male in the 800 Block of E Adams Street in Jefferson, Iowa. Upon arrival, members of the Jefferson Police Department and Greene County Sheriff’s Office located Holden VerSchuure, age 22, of Jefferson, Iowa.
The investigation into VerSchuure’s death continues. Anyone with information related to this incident is urged to contact the Jefferson Police Department at (515) 386-2136.
The Jefferson Police Department is being assisted by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Greene County Medical Examiner Investigators, Iowa State Patrol, and Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
