Director of Investigative Operations Ryan Moore
Ryan Moore joined the Iowa Department of Public Safety in 1998. During his time with DPS, Moore has served in the Division of Criminal Investigation, Iowa State Patrol, and the Division of Narcotics Enforcement. In 2026, Moore was promoted to the Director of Investigative Operations. As the head of Investigative Operations, Director Moore oversees the Division of Criminal Investigation, the DCI Criminalistics Laboratory, the Division of Narcotics Enforcement, the Division of Intelligence and Fusion Center, and the State Fire Marshal.
