WINTERSET, Iowa - This is not a press release from the Iowa Department of Public Safety. It is being distributed on behalf of the Madison County Sheriff's Office.
Madison County Deputies and Agents with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation are currently conducting a death investigation into what is believed to be a homicide that occurred at the intersection of Macksburg Road and Grandview Lane in rural Madison County. The investigation is in the very early stages. The identity of the male victim will be released at a later time and pending family notification.
There is no known threat to the general public at this time. Additional information will be released as warranted.
