CORALVILLE, Iowa - The individual involved in the September 3, 2020, officer-involved shooting incident has been identified as Joseph George Maser, 47, of Coralville, Iowa. Maser is currently being treated at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, and his medical status will not be released at this time.  As previously mentioned, the Coralville police officer’s name will not be released at this time. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, in conjunction with the Johnson County Attorney Office continues to conduct an independent investigation of the incident.
