DES MOINES, Iowa - On August 4th, 2020, the Webster County Sheriff’s Office requested the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation to investigate an officer-involved shooting that occurred in the 1500 block of 20th Avenue in Fort Dodge, Iowa.  Agents with the DCI Major Crimes Unit completed their investigation and a copy of the report was forwarded to the Office of the Iowa Attorney General for review.  The Office of the Iowa Attorney General has completed the review, (see below) and determined the actions of the Webster County deputy were legally justified.
