CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Cedar Rapids police officer involved in the February 20, 2021, shooting has been identified as Kyzer Moore, a three-year and six-month veteran of the Cedar Rapids Police Department. Moore voluntarily interviewed with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.

Moore remains on paid administrative leave pending the investigation. Upon completion of the investigation, Moore’s interview along, with the investigative facts, will be forwarded to the Linn County Attorney.
