Des Moines, Iowa - This press release is being distributed on behalf of the Marion Police Department and the Missing Person Information Clearinghouse.
January 23rd, 2023 - The Marion Police Department learned the following in regards to this case:
Mr. Wolf was involved in a minor vehicle accident on 1.16.23, around 4pm in Johnson County. The accident occurred on Hwy 965 at Amana Road, but law enforcement was not called to the scene to investigate. Mr. Wolf and the other driver exchanged information before Mr. Wolf was seen heading west on County Rd 120 from Hwy 965 (towards Swisher).
Theodore “Ted” Wolf is still missing, at this time.
If you have any information about his location, or may have seen him or his red Ford Edge, please call the Marion Police Department.

January 20, 2023 - Mr. Wolf has yet to be located and, as such, we are again asking for the public's help.
That said, his age and medical condition are added concerns regarding his well-being and whereabouts as he has not been seen for almost a week, now. When he left his home, he did not have his cell phone and would have been headed towards Lisbon (via Hwy 13 and Hwy 30) for a scheduled appointment. He did not arrive at that appointment and there are no known financial transactions on his accounts, since he was last seen.
Additionally, an airplane was used but was unsuccessful in an attempt to locate his vehicle, a red 2018 Ford Edge Titanium SUV (Iowa handicapped plate EL 779), similar to the one in the attached photo.
For these reasons, we are asking anyone (between Marion and Lisbon / eastern Linn County, Cedar, Jones, and Johnson, as well) that may have seen this vehicle to immediately call the Marion Police Department (319-377-1511).
Lastly, if you have any outbuildings or seldom used property (rural or urban) in the area, please check them to see if Mr. Wolf may be parked there.
