PLEASANTVILLE, Iowa - In early July 2024, the Pleasantville Police Department and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation began an investigation into a reported poisoning of a local resident.

As a result of the investigation, on July 30, 2024, officers and agents arrested 39-year-old Daisy Zantjer of Pleasantville. She was taken into custody without incident. She has been charged with one count of Administering Harmful Substances, a class D felony.
