MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa - This is not a press release from the Iowa Department of Public Safety. It is being distributed on behalf of the Marshalltown Police Department. 

The Marshalltown Police Department continues to investigate a shooting that occurred in Marshalltown on June 1, 2024. Victor Delgadillo, age 18, of Marshalltown is wanted on the charge of Murder in the First Degree in connection with this investigation.

On August 9, law enforcement authorities in Anaheim, California were involved in an investigation involving Mr. Delgadillo. An officer involved shooting occurred during this investigation. Mr. Delgadillo was reportedly shot during this incident and has been taken to a hospital. His status is not known. No law enforcement officers were injured. This is preliminary information. This investigation continues.
