June 18, 2021,

TRAER, Iowa -  On June 18th, at approximately 4:35 a.m., the Tama County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from an occupant of the Ryan Cooper residence located at 1846 K Avenue Traer, Iowa.  Upon arrival, law enforcement found Ryan Cooper deceased.  The facts and circumstances indicate Cooper’s death appears to be a violent death.  The investigation is being conducted by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office, the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) and the Tama County Attorney’s Office.   

The Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Office will be conducting the autopsy.
