TRAER, Iowa - Earlier today, the Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner performed an autopsy on Ryan Cooper, who was found deceased yesterday in rural Tama County. The pathologist has ruled Cooper’s cause of death as a homicide; and manner of death as a gunshot wound. 

The investigation is ongoing. If the general public has information that they believe of importance in this matter, please contact the Tama County Sheriff's Office at 641-484-3760.

There is no threat to the community. No further information will be provided at this time.
